On the track it has few peers but through SVA approval Lotus's superb
2Eleven can now be unleashed on the public roads! To call the 2 Eleven a
road car is stretching credibility a little. It has no doors, no
windscreen, almost no storage and no roof, in fact no wet weather
protection whatsoever! Like it's spiritual predecessor the 340R, it is a
bare bones no compromise machine for the devoted trackday enthusiast.
Based
on the Lotus 'Circuit Car' concept and with a modified Exige chassis,
the 2 Eleven features 18-step traction control along with fully
adjustable dampers and anti roll bar for the ultimate in custom
suspension setup. The supercharged 1.8L Toyota flat 4 outputs 252bhp
which, thanks to it's light kerb weight, takes under 4 seconds to hit
60mph - the fastest road legal Lotus yet.
