It is a limited (333 units, 50 in USA) production vehicle that combines the improvements in R8 GT with a convertible body. The German model went on sale for base price of €207,800.[33]
The vehicle was unveiled in 2011 at Le Mans.
US model went on sale as 2012 Model Year vehicle, with delivery beginning in February 2012
