To counter the threat from arch rival Mercedes' S600, BMW have introduced the 440bhp 760i, their most powerful road car to date. The new V12 engine is certainly a fantastic achievement. Super smooth and whisper quiet, it is so highly thought of that an enlarged version will be used to power the new Rolls Royce Phantom.
Perfomance is equally impressive, with 125mph arriving from rest in just 17 seconds (almost a match for the 500bhp S Class). As a luxury limousine, however, it doesn't quite hit the mark.
