Audi's flagship model, the A8 W12, now has the power to compete head on with it's leading German rivals the BMW 760 and Mercedes' S Class. The lightweight all alloy W12 pushes out 444bhp which takes the two ton Audi to 60mph from rest in a mere 5 seconds.
Audi's renowned interior design skills are demonstrated to the full in the exceptional quality and finish of the A8's cabin. Exterior design is less certain. Audi having now adopted the huge Auto Union inspired front grille to questionable effect.
The W12 is certainly a wonderful car but whether it justifies the extra £20k over the equally desirable A8 4.2L is debatable.
