Some say that 237bhp in a front drive car may be pushing the boundaries
too much but the Astra VXR proves this is not the case. Handling may be
edgy on the limit (even though Lotus had a hand in the development) and
the power can arrive at all once, but the Astra can deliver a bucket
load of thrills in the hands of a skilled driver.
Outright
cornering is superb thanks to complex suspension components and the
selectable 'sport' mode sharpens the vauxhall's responses even further.
The astra is a great looking coupe, from the outside! But despite the
excellent Recaros' the interior is disappointing, even in a sub £20k hot
hatch.
